The Ring of Fire The Ring of Fire is just one example of the patterns in which volcanoes occur. These volcanoes are all in a line around the edge of the Pacific plate.
1.) Tectonic Hazards are when the Lithosphere (the crusty layer of rock below the Mantle) breaks into the Tectonic Plates which make up the seven continents, and this can cause an earthquake. 2.) Tectonic Hazards is the more technical term for natural hazards, such as earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. 3.) Earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, etc, are mostly caused when tectonic plates meet.
1.) Eruptions and earthquakes always happen at the edges of tectonic plates because thats where they collide, or meet. Furthermore, where the plates meet and cause tectonic hazards, are formed in a pattern, called lines. 2.)There are only two types of tectonic hazards which are, volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. Furthermore, earthquakes that happen in the ocean can cause tsunamis and tidal waves. 3.) Not only do tectonic hazards happen on land, but they also occur in the ocean, and the tectonic plate surrounding the North of the pacific ocean has a ring of active volacanoes called the 'Ring, of Fire.'
